Can I make site visits to the house during construction?
Once construction work begins on your home, no site visits without a builder representative are allowed. This is mainly because the construction site has a lot of dangerous conditions, and we must comply with insurance requirements that don’t allow any unaccompanied visitation to the site.
After we have framed the house, and the under roof and trades have roughed-in the components, we can schedule a pre-drywall walk-through. This will allow you to check the status of your home and ensure that everything is done to your satisfaction.
What’s the difference between remodeling and renovating a home?

What is the payment process?
We require a 10% or $1,000 deposit, at the contract signing, and a further 15% when mobilization occurs to start construction. Do I need permits for my project?

What is your service area?

Are you licensed, bonded and insured to work in Oregon and my county?
Oregon State requirements, state that all general contractors must be licensed in all localities where they work and must carry enough insurance and bonding. A general contractor in Oregon, must maintain a $15,000 bond, and a general liability insurance coverage of $1,000,000. Apart from that, contractors with employees must maintain $500,000 of workers’ vehicle insurance and compensation coverage. Resicom Building and Restoration carries all necessary insurances with a general liability coverage of $3,000,000.

Resicom Building and Restoration will also supply preliminary plans if required. All clients will be provided with a signed Design Feasibility Agreement, and a detailed set of drawings, which will include structural engineering, along with job timeline and projected budget.
Will someone be working on my project every day?
Communication between contractors and clients daily is essential to a smooth project. All project progress will be done based on the schedule, and if there are any delays or days off for our crew due to material orders, inspections, or scheduled work from specialty trades would be conveyed clearly. The project will be on-site every day and will track progress and report all project details to you.
What is a “Specialty Contractor”? Do they need a contractor’s license?
A residential specialty contractor is an independent contractor who isn’t a licensed residential building. The specialty contractor works with general contractors, licensed residential buildings, or property owners for re-improvements, improvements, repairs, and construction work that involves using specialized construction crafts or trades and special skills, when the undertakings are more than $200 and aren’t regulated by other code provisions.
Residential specialty contracting involves the following parts of contracting, and other parts that the commission recognizes through regulation:
